COP15: 12th December Climate Action Day
No ronn 4 Stonnen Marsch ass den Demonstratiounszuch ukomm matt Oofschloss virum Bella Center.

COP15: DAY IV&V Young Ecologial Activists are "Hitler Youth"

One of Lord Monckton's many pseudo-scientific books, Eng vun villen pseudo-wëssenschaftlegen Publikatiounen vun Lord Monckton
(EN) Lord Monckton, notorious English climate sceptic has called young activists who stormed a hearing by the U.S American Climate skeptics organization "Americans for Prosperity" as "Hitler Youth". He continued calling young people like that even when talking to smaller groups of young ecologists.

COP15: DAY IV Human Rights & Climate Change

(EN) On the international day of Human Rights, and the 61th anniversary of the signature of the Human Rights Charta, many talks evolved today around the fact the it should be a vital human right to have a clean and healthy environment, and many NGOs including FYEG (Federation of European Young Greens) raised the question of Intergenerational solidarity & justice towards climate change. After the emotial speeches of Mohammed Nasheed, Pres. Malevdives, and Tuvalu Representatives, the question about the rights of indigenous people was raised once more. Those living in absolute harmony with nature being the first ones to be radically eradicated by climate change and it's resulting floods has become an ironic and sad reality. "Don't freeze the deal" FYEG will organize tomorrow a flash freeze action infront of the main plenary hall. Be numerous!
(LU) Um internationalen Dag vun den Mënschenrechter huet sech haut natierlech vill em dësst Thema gedréint. Eng proper Emwelt och fir di kommend Generatiounen schengt emmer méi zu engem inalienabelen Mënschenrecht ze avancéieren(Intergenerationell Solidaritéit an Gerechtegkeet gëtt emmer méi diskutéiert zu Kopenhagen), obwuel weltwait d CO2 Emissiounen ant d' Luucht gin an d Pollutioun vun Loft, Waaser an Emwelt zouhëllt. "Don't freeze the Deal" !

COP15: Day III Save the Forests, Tuvalu & Say no to "Danish"
SAVE TUVALU !(EN) The 3rd Day of the U.N Climate change Conference was marked by interesting side events concerning biodiversity and forests. A special panel on forest degradation and deforestation, both problems closely linked to greenhouse gases emissions and climate change was held today. However, off- and behind the stage(s) word was mostly about the so called "Danish text" that still provokes many controversial discusses: For the background: The so called "Danish text", a text by the Danish, American and English delegation set prerogatives for rich countries to have the double amount of emissions then developing countries and this by 2050. Promptly "Climate Justice" called the proposal to be "CO2- racist" and called the rich developing countries the same. Head of the Chinese delegation Su Wei suddenly saw an opportunity to promote the Chinese delegation as dear development-aid activists and criticizes the U.S but also the E.U. Hence, already a lot of bad blood on the Copenhagen floor. Maybe the good news is that NGO's, environmental groups and many others are already mobilizing against the so called "danish" text, and that with such a growing movement, the text will more than probably be rejected.
Another interesting side event was supported by the FYEG (Federation of Young European Greens) called "Tuvalu the real deal", It was an awareness demonstration, manifestation to show that one of the world smallest countries (12'000 inhabitants / 26 square km.) faces serious problems due to rising sea levels and climate change.
(LU) Um drëtten Dag vun COP15 Klimasommet zu Kopenhagen gouff vill an sougenannten Nierwenevents "Side Events" gouff vill iwwert d'imminent Folgen vum Klimawandel opt d' weltwait Bëscher geschwat. Net nemmen den saueren Reen deen d'Bëschbestänn deziméiert mee och d Problematik vum brachialen Oofholzen (wat dann nach méi zur Erderwärmung bäidréiht) waren Themen haut. Hannert den Kulissen gouff et awa just een Thema: Den sougenannten "Danish Text", eng propose vun den U.S.A, Groussbritannien an Dänemark deen d' Schwellenlänner an d' pays en voie de dévlopement weider giff stigmatiséieren an den räischen Industrienatiounen weider Prerogativen giff gin (z.B Duebel su héich Pollutiouns- an Emmissiounswerter vis à vis vun den aarmen Länner) Eng aaner interessant Demo war haut d' Tuvalu-Demo "Tuvalu is the real deal" war eng Manifestatioun vun puer NGO's an och den Europäeschen Jonken Gréngen iwwert den Mikrostaat Tuvalu, deen enorm a Gefor ass an riskeiert duerch den Klimawandel ganz ze verschwannen.

COP15: End of Day II - Stigmatize the Poor and Wrong Answers

Cop15 is up to a bad start:
- Today the E.U has agreed with Saudi-Arabia to include carbon capture as a subsized technology. (The highly dangerous and environmental-unfriendly technology is very controversial among scientists and rejected by environmental activists around the world, The effect on storing CO2 is both highly expensive and dangerous, natural carbon dioxide leaks can be lethal to both the environment and human beings)
- Furthermore the leaking of the so called "Danish text" (by the U.S, U.K and Danish delegation) has provoked a harsh reaction from the delegation of developing countries: The text that ought to be a basis for next week's talks states that rich countries should get more power and prerogatives over the developing world:
"The UN Copenhagen climate talks are in disarray today after developing countries reacted furiously to leaked documents that show world leaders will next week be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to rich countries and sidelines the UN's role in all future climate change negotiations.
The document is also being interpreted by developing countries as setting unequal limits on per capita carbon emissions for developed and developing countries in 2050; meaning that people in rich countries would be permitted to emit nearly twice as much under the proposals.
The so-called Danish text, a secret draft agreement worked on by a group of individuals known as "the circle of commitment" – but understood to include the UK, US and Denmark – has only been shown to a handful of countries since it was finalised this week." (guardian.co.uk)
